Troop 10202 Silver Award Project For their Silver Award project, Troop 10202 created an aquaponics system for the Sawgrass Nature Center. The system will provided a sustainable food source for some of the animals at the nature center, and will be a permanent display at the center to educate visitors on the benefits of aquaponics gardening and farming. - Aquaphonics is a combination of growing fish and growing plants in the same environment without the need for soil - This method of farming is self-sustaining because it uses waste from the fish to provide nutrients the plants need with less wated and without using soil - Aquaphonics farming is easy enough that anyone can do it and it can be done indoors, making home gardening easier and more efficient For more information the project, please review the presentation below.
